What is a tailored application?
A tailored application counts when we successfully generate both a CV and a cover letter for one role. That is the unit you pay for — not credits, not scores.
Matching and scoring never consume your allowance. Browse matches, run scoring, and filter by sponsorship without using a tailored application.
Every tier has a hard daily stop, including paid plans. At the limit the action is refused with a clear message — it never queues, degrades, or carries over. Caps reset at midnight UTC. Free also has a monthly ceiling of 20.

- What am I paying for?

- What counts as a tailored application?
- One successful CV + cover letter pair for a job. Partial failures are not counted. Caps reset at midnight UTC.
- What happens when I hit my daily cap?
- Generation is refused until midnight UTC or you upgrade. Matching and scoring stay available. Nothing queues, degrades, or carries over.
- Do unused applications roll over?
- No. Daily caps reset each day. Free also has a 20/month ceiling.
- What is the 3-month option?
- You pay once upfront for three months (20% less than three monthly charges). The monthly equivalent is shown for comparison only — it is not billed monthly.
- Is visa sponsorship the product?
- No — Shortlstd is an AI career advantage: matching + tailored docs. Sponsorship verification is an optional filter for candidates who need it.

- Who gets the student discount?
- Verified students get 50% off Launch, Pro, and Elite. Student pricing is a checkout discount — your entitlement tier stays Launch, Pro, or Elite with the same daily limits and features.
- How long does the student discount last?
- Duration (permanent vs introductory) is not decided yet. When you check out as a verified student, the then-current policy will apply at payment time.
- Does student pricing create a different plan?
- No. There is no Student Pro. Pro Monthly, Pro 3-Month, and Pro with student discount are all Pro — 15 tailored applications/day, identical features.
Paid plans include our no-match protection: if we do not deliver useful processing in your first week, we will refund or extend your plan.
