Acceptance

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Shortlstd. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Service description

Shortlstd provides career intelligence tools including job matching, sponsor verification signals, AI-assisted document generation, community features, and optional mentorship bookings. We do not guarantee employment, visa sponsorship, or interview outcomes. Information about sponsors and roles is provided for convenience and may contain errors; you should verify critical details independently.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use Shortlstd.

User obligations

• Provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
• Use the service only for lawful personal or internal business purposes.
• Do not scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without permission.
• Do not abuse AI features, attempt to circumvent credit limits, or overload systems.
• Do not upload unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content.
• Respect community guidelines and other users.

No scraping or abuse

Automated access, reverse engineering, or redistribution of platform data without written consent is prohibited. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

Payment terms

Paid plans and credit top-ups are billed in advance via Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Mentor session fees are charged as displayed at booking; Shortlstd retains a platform fee as disclosed at purchase.

You are purchasing AI processing capacity (credits), not a guarantee of interviews, offers, or employment. Typical usage: about 1 credit per job scored; a full tailored application pack (CV + cover letter after a strong match) uses about 9–12 credits depending on features used.

Except where required by UK consumer law, fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started and credits have been substantially used. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support within 14 days.

Refunds and fair-use protection

We want you to receive real value from AI processing, not pay for silence.

• No-match protection (paid plans): If you are on Launch, Pro, or Elite, completed profile setup (CV + target roles and locations), and within the first 7 days after your first payment you receive zero scored matches at or above your minimum threshold (default 3/5), zero AI-generated CVs or cover letters, and you have used fewer than 5 credits, you may request either a full refund or a free month extension with bonus credits.
• Technical outages: If verified platform failures (scrapers, scoring, or scheduled matching) prevent meaningful processing during a paid period, we will grant service credits or extra days — explained clearly in our response.
• Narrow preferences: Extremely restrictive filters (e.g. very senior titles only, single micro-location, unrealistic compensation) may legitimately produce few or no matches; we will prioritise profile help, credit extensions, or preference adjustments over cash refunds in those cases.
• Partial usage: If you have already consumed a material share of your monthly credits, we typically offer extensions or bonus credits rather than cash refunds.

To request review, email support@shortlstd.com from your account email. Settings includes a summary of your scoring activity to speed up support.

Intellectual property

Shortlstd, its branding, software, and content (excluding user content) are owned by VoyagerOn Ltd or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service for its intended purpose.

Your content

You retain ownership of your CV, profile data, and other content you upload. You grant us a licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service, including AI features you request.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shortlstd is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) £100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the platform.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
